Our Adventure Begins!

The big day finally arrived with much anticipation and excitement.  After many months of planning and preparation Eric's Inheritance tossed the lines at 7:30am and left Mooney Bay Marina.  Thanks to our family and friends who came to see us off -- lots of well wishes, hugs, prayers and some tears too.

It was a beautiful ride; sunny and calm seas.  We arrived at Westport Marina at 12:30 traveling 39 nautical miles.  

We met Gold Looper boat "Nice Goin" at the Marina.  This is their 2nd Loop, this time they are traveling Lake Champlain North to Canada and the Rideau Canal.  Everyone seeing our Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks for the first time comment how beautiful it is.  We couldn't agree more!

Best surprise of the day was a visit from Dad! He and Joan traveled to Westport to wish us safe travels in person.  He's the BEST!

Tomorrow we will be on to Whitehall and the beginning of the Champlain Canal.
