Happy Birthday Courtney!!
Anna Dee and Donna Lynn have traveled onward. We are looking forward to rejoining with our friends Sharon and Grant on Call Me Curly. They plan to cross today to Bimini from Rodriguez Key Florida with Bello, another boat neighbor in Stock Island. While we waited for them we explored the island, this time on our bikes.

Who did we meet as we headed back to the marina? Grant! He was heading to Customs and Immigration. The 3 of us headed back to the marina where he got the rest of the paperwork he needed and then Jerry joined him for the walk. I visited with Sharon from each of our boats while she remained quarantined. Soon the boys were back and we celebrated taking down their quarantine flag with some of the local beer. Like me, Sharon isn’t a beer drinker but she did enjoy the Kalik Radler.
Sharks in the marina!! Docked next to Call Me Curly was a boat from Florida. They had a good day of fishing and were starting to clean their catch. Jerry went over to check it out. They needed ziplock bags, which we provided, and they gave us 2 Wahoo steaks as a thank you!
Such entertainment as the fisherman threw their fish scraps into the water. In no time we had about 15 nurse sharks, some manta rays and a bull shark. The fishermen tied heads and carcasses on to a line and dangled it in the water. It was fun to watch as the sharks schooled around and approached. They expected that the bull shark would be aggressive and take all of the bait but the nurse sharks overwhelmed it by sheer number – as if they were bullying him. It was fascinating to watch. The nurse sharks are relatively docile and the fisherman actually pet them as they came to feed.
