Day 25 July 15, 2022

Friday, July 15

While walking to dinner yesterday we discovered that there would be a pancake breakfast today.  Everyone was game to give it a try.  9:30 we headed back to the festival and found the breakfast on the main street.  Members of the group Kinsmen were cooking pancakes to order.  $5 got you 2 big pancakes and water or juice.  The Kinsmen are a charitable organization that supports cystic fibrosis patients.  As usual, good company and food.

A little browsing at the festival vendors then off to Metro for some milk, burger rolls, eggs and bagels.  Some computer time and working out some Verizon issues with my phone then off to dinner.  Captain George is a fish and chips restaurant near the marina.  The restaurant was SO busy we waited 1.5 hours to get our food.  Fisherman's Platter with salad, pollock, scallops, shrimp and fries was worth the wait.

Then FIREWORKS AND DRONE SHOW.  Display was sponsored by the largest fireworks distributor in Canada.  It was a promotional effort for the local municipalities to drum up future business.   Promised to be quite a show and it delivered!  Drones introduced the show with various animal figures, the Canadian flag,  and finally a count down to spectacular fireworks!! Our friends joined us on our fly bridge and we had an awesome view.  Great way to end our visit to Trenton.

Starting the Trent Severn Waterway tomorrow.  Hopefully internet and computer issues will be minimal....
